So apparently they do tours of Chernobyl, the site of the largest nuclear meltdown in history, in northern Ukraine. It's totally safe, you just can't touch plants or buildings or stand downwind of the reactor core or breathe too deeply.

I found your blog while doing some research on Ukraine. I spent ten days there as a tourist at the end of September. (As I read the rest of your blog I see how much you hate tourists!)
Anyhow, I hope you are able to do the Chernobyl trip. When we there they quoted a price of nearly $300 per person... so instead we went to the museum in Kiev.
